The blue beaches
The crystal-clear coastlines
The beaches of Skyros with crystal-clear waters covered with sand or pebbles will literally enchant you.
You will find organized beaches in Magazia, Molos, Gyrismata, Kalamitsa, Acherounes and Kyra Panagia.
However, there are also many unorganized beaches on the western side of the island, such as Atsitsa where the pine trees reach the waves, and Agios Fokas, Pefkos and Kolymbada on the southern side.
In the lush green northern part of the island, swim in Agios Petros or Theotokos beach. In the center of the island, Aspous beach with its crystal-clear waters will offer you moments of relaxation.
Pouria Beach.
It is a beach on a small cape near Molos. It was an ancient quarry and today there are rock formations left from this activity. Here you will admire the rock church of Agios Nikolaos, carved into a large imposing rock. You will also see the windmill and the chapel of Agios Ermolaos on the islet of the same name.
Magazia Beach
Magazia Beach stretches below the town of Skyros. It has Tsipouradika taverns and a beach bar with umbrellas and sunbeds. They continue to join the beach of Molos.
Molos Beach
This long beach on Skyros is the continuation of the beach of the shops. Molos is sandy and part of it has sunbeds and umbrellas.
Gyrismata Beach
It is a wonderful sandy beach almost one kilometer long, four kilometers from the town, on the northeastern side of the island and is a continuation of the Molos – Pouria beach. There is a restaurant open all year round.
Unique beaches
Atsitsa Beach
Atsitsa is located on the northern side of the island with a tiny harbor with a beautiful view of the sunset.
Agalipa Beach
Agalipa is considered the most picturesque beach on Skyros. With blue waters, high sand and rocks in red shades. The lack of a road nearby saves it from mass visitors, although people regularly come by boat, but if you have more time in Skyros and your physical condition allows it, go on foot, the walk through the pine forest is pleasant.
Navagio Beach
Next to it is Navagio Beach. The name came from a boat that ran aground on this beach due to mechanical failure in 1999. Since then, it has been standing there and has remained a tourist attraction
A secret beach and a shipwreck next to the forest! It is worth going for the beautiful nature. The path is easy, 8-10 minutes walk from the dirt road. The beach outside has pebbles with coarse sand, but inside it has slabs and stones.
Kyra Panagia Beach
On the north side of Skyros, with its sandy shore and very shallow waters, Kyra Panagia is the best beach for young children. There is a seasonal tavern and beach bar.
Agios Fokas Beach
A very beautiful beach with clear, transparent waters and white pebbles.
Here there is a seasonal tavern with traditional Skyrian cuisine and fresh fish that has sun loungers on the beach.
Pefkos Beach
It is a large beach with turquoise waters surrounded by pine trees that reach down to the sea. Some parts are sandy while others are pebbled. There is a seasonal tavern with traditional Skyrian cuisine.
Acherounes Beach
It is one of the most wind-protected beaches on the south side of the island next to the port of Linaria, covered with a mixture of fine pebbles and coarse sand. There is a seasonal tavern.
Kalamitsa Beach
It is located on the southwestern south side of Skyros.
With golden sand and very fine pebbles, this beach is one of the largest on the island. There is a seasonal tavern with umbrellas and sun loungers.
